First Brew for the New Residence

As we get gradually settled into our new place we finally bought a can opener so we could open the malt and brew cans. So the first brew for the new place is a Wheat beer, and using malt for that extra bit of flavour, so nows it wait and see, hopefully will be joining Phil and Pinko with some homebrews in around 6 weeks.

Comments:
Bravo!

Is it bubbling yet?

Bubbling way to much added to much water, though followed instructions going to drain some today and also test hydrometer reading, hopefully no bacteria!

Congratulations of raising a vigorous, ebullient wort!
She does look pretty full. Your application of malt instead of sugar will compensate for your accidental dilution; It will maintain good body and taste in your beer.
Reading between the lines, I guess that you had krauesen exiting from the airlock? Seeing that this is a special case, maybe you can just remove and clean your airlock and then replace it? The initial vigor of fermentation will probably have subsided now. (Pouring out beer, I'm sure you'll agree, is a last resort).

Ant and I are moving to Orange in about 5 weeks so hopefully after we're settled we can come over and help you test taste the beer!

Moving over to Orange, guys? I'm sure that you'll enjoy it. Will you attend the Scots' ball in Orange this year? Maybe you will brew beer at your new house too?
